Metropolis – Mastering Bookings Coordinator (UK)

The main purpose of this role is to Manage mastering projects through all stages from initial contact to completion, whilst providing excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities
  • Take bookings for a number of our mastering engineers and effectively manage projects from initial enquiry to completion
  • Assigning projects to engineers that best suit the client’s needs
  • Ensure that engineers time and schedules are managed for maximum efficiently and capacity
  • To communicate all session information effectively to all relevant parties, liaising with record labels, artists, producers and production facilities
  • Maintain, develop and extend existing and new client relationships
  • Pro-actively promote mastering to existing and new clients
  • Structure deals for clients either for one off projects or bulk deals, taking into account monthly sales targets
  • Process payments, job sheets and invoices in a timely manner to ensure continuous cash flow
  • Delivering the sales / marketing strategy through social media activity, external meetings and industry events
  • Understand the technical workings of a mastering session
  • Basic understanding of the processes involved in recording, mixing, 
mastering and manufacturing / digital distribution
  • Understand formats for mastering sessions, digital transfers, delivery / release formats etc
  • Providing exceptional customer service and offering aftercare where required
  • Experience in resourcing new and boosting existing revenue streams
