LyricFind – Account Executive, Sales (US)

LyricFind is expanding our sales team to Los Angeles. We’re looking for someone to lead sales efforts on the West coast, and represent us in the LA area.

LyricFind is the World’s leader in lyric licensing, powering virtually everyone you see using lyrics online and digitally (including Google, Amazon, Pandora, Deezer, Shazam and many more). We also have partnerships with industry organizations like The Grammys, and power weekly Lyric charts on Billboard, Record of The Day and The Music Network. Our services are used around the world – we support 200 countries, with licensing from over 4,000 music publishers around the world.

But enough about that – let’s talk about YOU. You’ve spent some time in sales, you’ve maybe even dabbled in the music, tech or entertainment industries, so you’ll have a core understanding of our market, clients and potential clients.

You’re an outgoing self-starter who doesn’t hesitate to say hi to a stranger at a party or networking event, and you don’t need to be babysat. But behind all that, you can go through the lead generation grind, and dig around to find new companies who could use our products. You can parse through a conference attendee list in no time and are familiar with social selling ie: working social networks to generate buzz and communicate company messaging. You can write a convincing pitch and back it up with all the facts and details. And you’re pretty decent at Excel, too, to crunch the numbers, size and close the most rewarding deals.

And of course – most importantly – you just GET THINGS DONE. Sales is, of course, a results-oriented role, and you’ll put in the time and effort to succeed, and get deals closed. And you’ll have the full support of our sales teams in Toronto and London to back you up. This is an entry-level sales role and we’ll be doing everything we can to help.

And if you’re extra amazing, you might be able to speak another language, have some good marketing chops, be a good public speaker, have some tech cred, and have some great 8-ball skills (they’ll come in handy when you come to Toronto).

The role will be based in a co-working space until we grow the LA team more. So you’ll need to be comfortable and confident in working solo.
