We are seeking a highly motivated and creative individual to join our team as a Social Media and Marketing Intern. This internship provides an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the music industry while developing your skills in social media management and marketing. The ideal candidate should have a passion for music, strong communication skills, and a deep understanding of various social media platforms.
Responsibilities
- Social Media Management: Assist in managing and maintaining social media accounts for Little Underground. This includes creating and scheduling engaging content, monitoring comments and messages, and analyzing performance metrics.
- Content Creation: Collaborate with producers and Little Underground to develop compelling and shareable content, including posts, graphics, videos, and stories, that align with our brand and target audience.
- Community Engagement: Interact with fans and followers by responding to comments, direct messages, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Foster a positive and engaging online community around the producers’ social media platforms.
- Trend Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends, news, and best practices in social media and the music industry. Provide insights and recommendations to optimize social media strategies and reach a wider audience.
- Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and track social media performance using various analytics tools. Prepare regular reports summarizing key metrics, trends, and engagement levels to identify areas for improvement.
- Research and Outreach: Conduct research on influencers, blogs, and music-related websites to identify potential collaborations and partnerships. Assist in reaching out to influencers, bloggers, and media outlets for promotional opportunities.
Requirements
- Passion for music and a good understanding of the music industry landscape. Knowledge of record producers and their roles would be beneficial.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using major social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Creative thinking and the ability to generate engaging content ideas.
- Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with graphic design tools and video editing software is a plus.
Duration and Compensation
Role is remote, approximately 2 hours per week, and begins as soon as October 2023 for an initial 1-month period, which will then be reviewed and extended to 6 months in the immediate. Compensation will be discussed during the interview process. Can be used for credit.
