Senior Label Manager Job Description

Product Development and Releases
  • Project Manage production, marketing, distribution and any other third-party team activity for all label releases across several imprints
  • Release administration including timely delivery of assets aligned with production deadlines, catalogue number generation, formal ISRCs, metadata accuracy and UPC numbers
  • Update brand partners with regular artist activity
  • Maintain label release schedule internally and liaise with distributor
  • Chair internal planning meetings
  • Oversee physical production on relevant projects including close liaison with distributor
  • Maximise key opportunities across marketing and media campaigns including co-ordinating video and photo shoots, promo schedules, tours and events
  • Delivery / upload assets to distributor and video platforms where appropriate.
  • Collate and present sales and market data via analytics tools and facilitate 2rd party data including OCC via distributor
  • Apply skills across spectrum of artists ranging from emerging, pop, heritage and catalogue tracks
  • Work closely with the Financial Director to deliver commercially viable release proposals and progress reporting
Relationships and Reporting
  • Open door policy in line with our small team
  • Weekly reporting to CEO
  • Collaboration with small team and side by side with Social Media / Digital Audience Manager
  • Manage external relationships from distributor through to promo teams and DSPs to secure ongoing close working methods
  • Liaise directly with artist management from inception past release to ensure long term collaboration with the label

Experience
Essential
  • Min three years of product/label management in music industry
  • Good working knowledge of digital formats and marketing for multi genre releases
  • Good working knowledge of managing catalogue releases
  • Must be trained in using data analytic tools –  OCC, ChartMetric, Disco and DSP analytical platforms including Spotify for Artists
  • MS Office – Excel and PowerPoint intermediate level
  • Rounded market awareness – ie contemporary and emerging artists, music industry sector business developments, product opportunity identification and practical applications
Advantageous
  • International release experience
  • A&R experience with good network of contacts in independent and major management companies
