ROLE SUMMARY
Reporting to the Director, Recorded Music the role of Senior Label Services Manager is a pivotal position that is responsible for the day-to-day management, development and growth of a priority roster of both established and emerging Artist and Label clients.
The role will work hand-in-hand with the Kartel’s internal teams across Distribution (Physical & Digital), eCommerce, Marketing, Production, Sync and Kartel Agency teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a roster of artist and label clients and collaborate team-wide to deliver successful global release campaigns in line with commercial objectives.
- Provide clear support and guidance for clients on their release campaigns and deliverables to ensure we meet artistic and commercial goals.
- Ensure best-quality client support and communication is delivered in a timely fashion and is commensurate with contractual levels and commercial objectives, ensuring a high-level of client satisfaction.
- Oversee Advance Commitment Tracking across all active clients – ensuring advance limits are maintained and/or adjusted accordingly based on project performance & in consultation with the Commercial Teams
- Work closely with the Sales & Commercial teams to achieve and execute sales and marketing initiatives & objectives.
- Generate and disseminate project presentations, sales notes and regular campaign updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support with the launch and development of a new alternative music orientated label imprint called AMK.
- Maintain insights and awareness on current industry trends and best practices as well as new and emerging areas of interest – and share this across the wider team and client base.
- Utilise administrative support from the Client Services Team where appropriate.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
- Commercially minded individual with a proven track record across label services, independent label, music distribution, artist and/or product management roles.
- A strong understanding and experience of label and product management, physical and digital distribution, international campaign management and marketing.
- Proven track record executing commercially successful release campaigns across the Pop/Rock/Alternative/Indie genres
- A solid understanding of the opportunities around fan cultivation and audience development
- Passionate about the Independent Music Industry and Services sector with strong understanding of the commercial music landscape across both digital and physical format.
- A strong understanding and awareness of pre-release campaigns, multi-format content and video across different DSPs and social platforms such as TikTok, YouTube, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon.
- Highly organised and process driven with ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously, strong attention to detail.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to the changing market.
- Attend meetings, gigs, showcases and other events to represent clients and Kartel.
