Kartel Music Group is seeking a highly talented and experienced Marketing Director to lead and develop its internal marketing agency and oversee marketing campaigns across its Artist and Label service provision.
The is a uniquely entrepreneurial role with the opportunity to shape and develop a forward thinking marketing team within an independent music services environment.
This role will be responsible for leading and developing Kartel’s Marketing & Promotions Agency who represent a blend of clients from internally signed artists to external label, artist management & media clients.
This role requires a highly diligent & attentive individual with strong organisational and effective communication skills. You will be able to work on multiple concurrent projects and will be willing to demonstrate decisive commercial leadership.
You will develop and maintain strong relationships and communication with artists, labels and management teams. You will lead internal members of the team in marketing and commercial activities and report directly to the CEO.
Responsibilities will include:
Core functions:
- Work closely with internal marketing, promotions & commercial stakeholders at Kartel to deliver industry leading marketing campaigns for independent Artist and Label clients.
- Develop and expand Kartel’s Marketing & Promotions Agency offering to the wider music industry and achieve internal commercial agency targets.
- Work with our Commercial Recorded Music team to develop and execute market-leading streaming and playlist strategies.
- Manage marketing budgets across multiple artist projects
- Set & achieve sales, streaming, playlist & revenue targets
- Conceive and execute leading marketing and promotions strategies
- Provide leadership across administration process, work flows and KPI reporting to internal and external stakeholders
- Work closely with the Head of Digital Marketing & Audience on developing audience growth, social media & influencer marketing to maximise engagement and deliver effective campaign results.
- Working closely with the Head of Promotions on developing UK and international media promotions campaigns and develop forward thinking approach to media promotions campaigns
What We Are Looking For:
- Commercially minded marketing leader with a proven track record and relevant experience.
- Understanding and experience of an agency approach to marketing and promotion services.
- Track record executing successful and commercially impactful music and digital marketing campaigns.
- Proven experience in leading DSP partnership, playlist & streaming strategies
- Proven experience in audience engagement and influencer marketing campaigns
- A solid understanding of the modern artist and audience development process
Qualifications & Experience:
- Degree or equivalent business experience/education.
- 10+ years experience working at a label on commercially significant artist/label campaigns.
- Experience on digital analytics, marketing analytics, advertising KPIs
- Be a team player with strong organizational, communication and impeccable administrative skills.
