Lightsong Media Group are seeking a part-time Freelance Digital Marketing Manager

Working with a Team, reporting directly to CEO

Location: Remote working (UK) and some requirement to attend meetings in London

Contract type: Contract for Hours

Indicative fee rate: £25p/h initially based on one, eight hour day per week

Scope for increasing hours and responsibilities

Contract Term: Minimum Six Months

Start Date: December 2025 or by arrangement

What we are looking for:

A dynamic, imaginative marketing and social media expert to create and implement a marketing strategy, raising brand awareness and amplifying internal and external market-reach.

Focus will be on five main areas:

Promote our three production labels
Increase user engagement
Creating new opportunities for Composers
Collaborating with our sub-publisher partners to drive sales
Events-driven marketing (awards, conferences, festivals, promotions)

Your strategic approach will be to devise a cost-effective, impactful plan executing the above objectives, ensuring that our marketing message powerfully reflects the Company’s track record, strength, creativity, and dynamism.

Key Responsibilities:

Review marketing materials and activities to date
Direct and manage all marketing, social media and editorial presences across current platforms and channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Tik Tok, YouTube etc.)
Procure, supervise and create innovative content that fuels engagement, expands reach, and elevates brand and awareness including:

Posts
Showreels
Playlists
E-marketing
Advertising
SEO
Hash-tag optimisation
Follows and Sign Ups
Data insights

Undertake seamless navigation, use of multiple software and tool-types, cross-platform: Google, Dropbox, Apple, iCloud, Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint

Establish robust systems for social media data storage and insightful analysis, including updating and running our current CRM system (Sales Force /Agent Force)

Create and manage a Marketing database operation, expansion and integrations

Produce and present compelling monthly reports to the CEO and wider team, detailing activity, outcomes, key successes, and areas for strategic development, all supported by data and analysis

Identify and propose emerging platforms and additional opportunities for Company visibility and engagement

Desired Skills and Experience

Minimum two years digital marketing experience in the music industry, specifically in social/digital media. Specialist Production Music Sector knowledge would be an advantage
Competent in design, digital video and associated visual asset production tools and platforms
Extensive experience in current social media platforms and channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, X, Tik Tok, YouTube etc.
Demonstrate initiative, knowledge and experience of social media trends and metrics. Advise on future trend developments, use of emergent AI data, analysis & insight tools
Exhibit proven expertise in drafting and crafting compelling corporate content
Command exceptional and impactful communication and skills with an enthusiastic will to learn
Thrive in an autonomous work environment
Exhibit outstanding IT proficiency, seamlessly navigating Google, Dropbox, Apple/iCloud, Creative Cloud, Microsoft 365, Teams and SharePoint ecosystems
Be conversant and have a working knowledge and capability of standard financial, budgeting and forecasting software (Microsoft, Excel)
