Royalties Coordinator – 9 Month Engagement (off payroll)
REPORTING TO: Director of Publishing Operations

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised Royalties Coordinator to join Audio Network’s publishing team. You will be responsible for our end-to-end royalty payment process, importing global royalty income statements and running royalty distributions to our composers, artists and partner clients. This is a fantastic opportunity to take on a critical role within our UK team which has a global remit. This is a full time, nine-month contractor role (off payroll), based in our office in Farringdon, London.
THE ROLE
- Working within our UK-based publishing team, you will be responsible for our worldwide royalties processes for the Audio Network production music catalogue: Administer the full semi-annual royalty cycle, including ingestion of usage data, processing of income, and preparation of royalty statements using Vistex Music Maestro software
- Calculation and distribution of royalties to rights holders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contractual terms
- Matching works on incoming royalty statements to our ever-growing catalogue
- Liaise with collection societies, sub-publishers, and digital service providers to reconcile income and statements and resolve any discrepancies
- Maintain and improve royalty systems and processes, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency
- Prepare internal reports and analysis on client royalty payments and variances to budgeted cost accruals.
- Respond to queries from composer/artists and partners; working with accounts to resolve any client payment issues
- Stay informed on industry developments, including changes in royalty statements and society practices
YOUR EXPERIENCE
- 2 years’ experience in a royalties, copyright or rights management role within publishing or record label
- Detailed knowledge of publishing income types, royalty flows, nuances and processes
- Familiarity with all key royalty file formats
- Experienced, proficient user of Music Maestro (desirable) or other royalty processing software (essential)
- Strong Excel skills, confident in using formulas and pivot tables (essential) and powerquery (desirable)

- High level of accuracy, attention to detail
- Deep understanding of music publishing, particularly royalties functions
- Excellent communication skills, particularly in dealing with client queries and requests
- Excellent organisational skills with ability to multi-task, prioritise, respond to changing demands and deliver to strict deadlines
- Proactive, solution-oriented approach, takes initiative to improve way of working
- Personable, team player with a genuine passion for music
COMPENSATION
- Salary: £27k to £30k (dependent on experience), pro rata for 9 months
- Hybrid working – 3 mandatory days in the office – Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays
Important Note on Engagement:
This is a fixed-term contract for 9 months offered on an off-payroll basis, meaning it is outside of PAYE (Pay As You Earn). The successful candidate will not be directly employed by Audio Network and will be engaged via a recruitment agency Audio Network partner with, who will act as the intermediary.
As this is an off-payroll engagement, it does not come with any Audio Network employee benefits, such as pension, paid leave, or sick pay. The agreed rate of pay will be inclusive of all relevant taxes and statutory contributions, which will be handled by the recruitment agency.
