The Role:
LabelWorx is seeking a dynamic, results-driven Head of Label Sales & Partnerships to lead and expand our global client base of independent artists & record labels. In this senior commercial role, you will be responsible for driving new business acquisition, strengthening existing relationships, and shaping the strategic direction of our sales efforts.
You’ll play a key role in helping labels succeed in the fast-evolving digital music landscape by championing the full suite of LabelWorx services, from distribution to label services and beyond. This role is ideal for a commercially minded individual with deep industry knowledge, a strong sales background, and a passion for helping music businesses thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a high-impact sales and partnerships strategy aligned with company goals
- Manage and develop a team of sales representatives and global market leads to ensure consistent performance and alignment with strategic goals
- Drive new client acquisition through targeted outreach, networking, and attending industry events
- Manage and grow relationships with existing labels to increase lifetime value and satisfaction
- Lead retention initiatives to ensure long-term client loyalty and reduce churn
- Lead sales presentations and contract negotiations with potential label clients
- Identify and act on trends in the independent music space to tailor commercial offerings
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, A&R, Senior Management, and Operations teams
- Represent LabelWorx at key industry events, conferences, and showcases globally
- Report on KPIs, forecasts, and performance metrics to the leadership team
- Continuously refine sales processes, tools, and best practices to improve efficiency and results
- Lead LabelWorx’s presence at industry conferences & events. Including activations, speaking opportunities, and networking to drive brand visibility and engagement
- Work closely with the Marketing team to align on messaging, campaigns, and overall brand positioning within the industry
Essential skills & qualifications to include:
- Proven track record in B2B sales or partnerships, preferably in the music industry
- Deep understanding of the independent music industry, distribution models, and deal structures
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with C-level confidence
- Strategic thinker with the ability to turn insight into action and long-term growth
- Strong relationship management skills and a collaborative mindset
- Experience leading and mentoring sales teams
- Self-motivated, highly organised, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to report effectively on performance metrics and provide strategic insights to senior management
- Experience working with CRM software (Hubspot, Salesforce, Pipedrive etc.)
