Role: Classical Metadata Specialist

[Integral] is the music distribution and services division of [PIAS]. [Integral] champions and supports the best independent music in the world across our unrivalled international network. Established in 1982, the [PIAS] group operates across 16 offices around the globe to develop, build and leverage on local partnerships to increase exposure and routes to market for the repertoire, labels, and artists we work alongside.
The role
[Integral] is looking for a Classical Metadata Specialist to join the Repertoire Operations team at their head office in Bermondsey.
As a key member of the Repertoire Operations team, the role is primarily focused on coordinating the timely and accurate throughput of the [PIAS] Group’s Classical Repertoire.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with both the [PIAS] Label Group and [Integral] distributed classical labels encompassing a rich base of high-quality classical music.
Whilst predominantly metadata focused, the role will give the successful applicant exposure to end-to-end digital Supply chain processes and opportunities to develop understanding and skills in a number of areas.
Key responsibilities will include
- Ensuring the smooth, accurate and timely ingestion of metadata for all classical repertoire.
- QC of new classical releases in the core repertoire system.
- Ensuring that the rich media assets and metadata are successfully linked and processed through the digital supply chain.
- Promoting importance of best practices being followed in the classical space with internal and external stakeholders.
- Thoroughly checking metadata for new releases is of a standard that will meet industry style guides.
- Advising clients on non-standard releases.
- Contributing to department projects as required (classical and non-classical related)
- Contribute to the onboarding of new clients and catalogues.
- Supporting the Classical Content and Onboarding Specialist as needed
Skills and Experience
- Excellent knowledge of industry metadata style guides for classical music essential
- An ability to work accurately under time pressure with great attention to detail
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) an advantage
- An ability to communicate with all staff at the highest and lowest levels, internal and external
- Organised and efficient
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and intermediate knowledge of Excel
- A demonstrable interest in and understanding of classical music is an advantage
- Exceptional customer service approach
- Spoken and / or written French language skills preferable
