As a close-knit team overseeing the catalogs of major and historical artists, we are on the lookout for a new team member to contribute to our effectiveness, efficiency, and creativity. Covering a diverse range of genres, we are actively seeking a highly motivated and diligent marketing expert with proficiency across multiple musical styles to join our dynamic team.


The role

Focused on the growth of IMP’s acquired Publishing & Recorded music catalog, this position is located in NYC and reports directly to the Head of Marketing. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your expertise across genres of Pop, Hip-Hop, Latin and Country, contributing to the expansion of catalog exposure and the generation of incremental revenue.

This role goes beyond commemorating anniversaries and re-issues; it involves creating and implementing marketing campaigns to bolster upcoming releases, capitalize on tours and viral moments, and more.


Here you’ll get to
  • Harness both traditional and innovative approaches to craft bespoke catalog marketing campaigns for active artists and writers.
  • Establish expertise in the history of each artist, writer, or producer in your roster, encompassing their identity as a brand, past releases, and social media presence.
  • Possess an in-depth understanding of your roster and its audience.
  • Take charge of leading asset optimizations, proactively explore new opportunities, and identify untapped audiences for engagement.
  • Manage research and communication details, steering projects with both internal and external partners.
  • Identify and execute marketing strategies for new releases and pertinent re-issues, including significant anniversaries.
  • Strengthen relationship-building skills by collaborating closely with talent managers and internal IMP partners on various initiatives. •
  • Recognize viral moments and develop swift marketing campaigns to promptly capitalize on such opportunities.
  • Create engaging social content and digital marketing tools for deployment across social networks and streaming platforms.
  • Develop quarterly budget forecasts for upcoming priority projects.
  • Deliver regular updates to all stakeholders, highlighting campaign performance and growth prospects aligned with strategic goals.
  • Seek out new external partners for marketing and A&R opportunities in the catalog space.
  • Collaborate with the Analysis team to conduct post-mortem analyses on catalog marketing initiatives, evaluating successes and failures, and refining standards for future application.
  • Lead and nurture a successful team.

What we’re looking for
  • 3-4 years of robust experience in music industry marketing, product management, and/or A&R, covering diverse realms like record labels, record stores, artist management, digital accounts, start-ups, music publishing, brand marketing, and related industries.
  • Demonstrates a fervent passion for Pop, Hip-Hop, Latin & Country and the business aspects of the music world.
  • Proven expertise in managing teams, timelines, and budgets.
  • Possesses strong teamwork, leadership, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Exhibits adept interpersonal communication skills, polished presentation abilities, and comfort with public speaking engagements.
  • Utilizes storytelling techniques effectively to showcase new ideas and achieve goals.
  • Demonstrates a track record of successful project management and multitasking skills, breathing life into fresh ideas and insights across various departments.
  • Holds experience in creative strategy, leading marketing campaigns internally and externally with digital retailers (such as Spotify, Apple, or YouTube) and social partners (including Instagram, TikTok, and Snapchat).
  • Flexible with the capacity to work across multiple international time zones, including availability for tasks and calls outside regular business hours.
  • Possesses an in-depth understanding of the contemporary digital landscape, the current music market, and trends in pop culture.
  • Experience in streaming, sales, and/or marketing analysis
  • Have experience with producing or creating content & bringing content to market
  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher
