Hipgnosis Song Management Ltd is seeking a Rights Administration Assistant to join the Rights Administration team in our London Office in Notting Hill.
Hipgnosis Song Management Limited is a Song Management company and the Investment Advisor for Hipgnosis Songs Fund Ltd (SONG) and Hipgnosis Songs Capital. Founded in 2018, it manages songs worth c. $3 billion, including many of the greatest songs of all time, optimising revenue generation, driving consumption and advocating on behalf of songwriters.
The Rights Administration team are responsible for maintaining an up to date and accurate copyright and ownership database for the rest of the company to carry out their day-to-day functions.
We are now looking to fill an entry level role within our Rights Administration department for a 6-9 month period to support the existing team by:
- Loading songs into our copyright database by entering relevant data to an extremely high standard of accuracy.
- Enriching catalogue data via research and other internal data sources.
- Validating the accuracy of song registration at Performing Rights Organisations (PRO) & Collective Management Organisations (CMO).
- Assisting on ad hoc projects across the Rights Administration team and company; including but not limited to royalty processing tasks, catalogue research and internal reporting.
The right candidate will
- Have an excellent eye for detail.
- Excel savvy (including filtering, sorting, formatting, basic numerical and string equations).
- Be willing to learn and work as part of a team.
- Have a general interest in music and the music industry.
- Ideally, have some copyright or royalties work experience.
- Ideally, have some office/administrative work experience.
