Here at Hipgnosis Song Management (HSM) we are hiring this exciting position to join our team. With a proven track record in synch management, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of creative & synch management, advertising.

HSM is one of the fastest growing managers of songs as an asset class in the world. We now manage $2.5bn worth of music assets, including iconic song catalogues of artists (including Blondie, Chrissie Hynde, The Chainsmokers, Shakira, Neil Young, Justin Timberlake, Leonard Cohen) as well as the songwriter talent behind global artists like Ed Sheeran, Beyonce, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.

Disrupters in our market, we have made songs an investable asset class and brought Hipgnosis Songs Fund to the public market via an IPO on the London Stock Exchange in 2018 and have ambitions to acquire many more catalogues over the next 2-3 years.

We not only acquire songs, we ensure our incredible songs are actively managed through all available platforms, channels and technologies.

The Role/Key Responsibilities

In this exciting role you will be:

  • Driving the advertising-focused Synch marketing & servicing of Hipgnosis’ catalogue of songs.
  • Delivering on the creative strategy of Hipgnosis’ in-house, pro-active synch pitching team.
  • Generating & securing a broad range of opportunities for Hipgnosis’ songs across all creative lanes and medias.
  • Collaborating with Hipgnosis’ various publishing partners, to ensure that they are all fully-equipped on a creative level with the songs that we share.


It is essential, you have:

  • Strong new business acumen, with ability to build and maintain new client relationships.
  • A collaborative team player attitude.
  • An open mindset to combine traditional Synch experience with a unique & new approach to song & synch management.
  • Detailed understanding of the global Synch market – on both a creative and a commercial level.
  • Strong existing network within the global Advertising & Music Supervision industries.
  • Extensive experience in the proactive pitching of songs for Film / TV / Advertising / Games.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Disco and other Synch-focused creative platforms.

You would also ideally have:

  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to commission, project manage and deliver sync-focused master recordings.
  • Innovative and non-traditional thinker.
  • Experience in the music supervision/music consultancy side a plus.
  • Experience in Artist / management a plus.
