We are looking for a Researcher with a passion for music to play a key role in building the team’s research capabilities and you will be crucial in answering key questions about one of Epidemic Sound’s core assets – our music catalog. You will join the Central Analytics team which is composed of data analysts and researchers that work on tasks core to the company.
How you will make an impact;
As a Researcher with a music focus, you will generate insights related to Epidemic Sound’s business, (potential) users and music catalog. You will explore the interconnectedness of storytellers, music and music creators by employing techniques from market and user research disciplines. Examples of the impact you will make include guiding Epidemic Sound’s music acquisition strategy, identifying opportunities to best shape our music catalog to fit the needs of our customers and understanding the role music plays in users’ lives and in content production.
In addition to independently designing, executing and analyzing research, you will collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, other Researchers and stakeholders to develop a holistic understanding of current issues, opportunities and possible solutions. Together with the Central Analytics team, you will also work on projects that support cross-business area initiatives.
Who you are;
We believe you have a passion for research, insights, tech, and music. You enjoy an entrepreneurial start-up vibe, are deeply curious about the way people think and have an understanding of a wide range of qualitative and quantitative research methods.
Other skills we think you have are;
- Experience in conducting Market and/or User Research, particularly related to music
- Experience in conducting global research with strong knowledge of market-specific nuances
- The ability to provide structure and rigor to ambiguous problems
- The ability to communicate research findings and translate that into actionable insights
- Merit to those with experience from a growing product-focused tech company and/or from a music company
- Fluency in English
