Key Attributes
- Broad experience of music marketing and promotion including media, distribution and retail, both in the UK and overseas
- Highly organised team player, with strong attention to detail and all around communication skills
- Ability to work creatively amidst competing priorities to deliver releases and marketing activity on time and within budget
- Understanding of the music consumption landscape across the full range of products available within various music industry revenue models
- Awareness and interest in current marketing trends and brand values
- Knowledgeable and passionate about dance music
- Good contacts within the industry
Role Objectives
- To develop and maximise revenue streams
- To manage the creative process including artist releases, compilation albums and playlist concepts across designated projects
- To develop and implement successful global marketing and promotion campaigns, both strategic and tactical, across designated projects
- To develop expertise across the new realities of music consumption – Streaming and Playlists
- To identify and enhance cross-marketing opportunities across product propositions i.e. recordings with events or merchandise
- Maximise retail merchandising activity, sales initiatives and opportunities
- Research competition / marketplace and report on developments and trends
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain release planners to ensure all deadlines are met by all departments
- Create and manage P&Ls for all projects – work effectively and creatively with marketing budgets
- Co-ordinate production process in liaison with Production Manager – ensure prompt delivery of parts, artwork approval, stock/meta data into distribution
- Manage the creation and/or update of marketing tools and assets
- Produce and circulate regular campaign reports including PR, promotion and other media updates
- Implement an evaluation and success measurement approach to activity
- Develop and maintain direct relationships with all sales, distribution and retail partners, UK and International
- Maintain and syndicate regular label release schedules
- Ensure effective communication of promotion, marketing and sales activity
- Ensure effective quality control on all product
