Constant Artists Overview
Founded in 2004, Constant Artists (“CA”) is a creative artist management company based in Los Angeles specializing in the intersection of art, music, and culture. We currently represent Future Islands, Sudan Archives, Explosions in the Sky, Parra, Washed Out, Vagabon and Wolf Parade.
We provide exclusive worldwide management and consulting services to an established roster of musicians, visual artists, producers and composers, and we pride ourselves on working with the most talented artists in their respective fields.
Position Overview
The Part-Time Bookkeeper position is an important inward-facing role, overseeing our books and communicating with our external partners about company and client related financial matters.
This position is typically based in Los Angeles, but due to our current remote work set up, applicants based in North America, or applicants able to work during North American business hours may apply.

Position Requirements, Preferences and Details
- 2+ years in a full-time position that has utilized the skills referenced above, in a similar company (business management firm, entertainment agency, etc). You won’t have the luxury of learning how to perform this job as you go
- Outstanding written and interpersonal communication and people skills, with artists, vendors, and partners
- Personal initiative and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
- Ability to work with and maintain confidential data
- Ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently and always be searching for ways to become more efficient
- Broad knowledge of financial and accounting analysis, best practices, procedures, and principles
- Track record of supporting multiple projects at once with tight deadlines
- An ability to report to and inform senior management efficiently, presenting all necessary information needed to spur decision making
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Salary commensurate with experience
You Will Be Responsible For
- Annual & quarterly budgeting / forecasting
- Commissioning from our clients
- A/P and A/R
- Bank and investment reconciliations
- Journal entry posting
- Payroll and benefits management
- HR / office management functions
- Company insurance policy oversight and upkeep
- Vendor contact and relationship
- Financial statement preparation
- Coordinating with various colleagues and client partners to obtain support required for various analyses
- Liaising with various departments to obtain information as necessary
The ideal candidate is a genuine fan of the artists we work with, and is equal parts tireless, patient, efficient, and excited about the future of the arts
Confidentiality, diplomacy, reliability, and flexibility are requirements for success in this role
