Chrysalis Records/Blue Raincoat Music is looking for a Senior Streaming Manager to join their Marketing Team.

Chrysalis Records/Blue Raincoat Music is a leading independent music company headquartered in London and New York. Along with our US partner Reservoir Media, we own the legendary Chrysalis and Tommy Boy catalogues.

Our roster of artists includes the likes of Laura Marling, De La Soul, Marika Hackman, Sinéad O’Connor, Emeli Sandé, Nick Drake, Bodega, The Waterboys, Ben Harper, UFO, The Wandering Hearts, The Specials, Liz Lawrence, Ultravox and Gia Ford to name but a few.


Job Description

You will be Blue Raincoat Music’s (Chrysalis Records, Tommy Boy) conduit between the UK Editorial & Marketing Teams at the leading streaming platforms and our frontline and catalogue marketing teams.

Reporting directly into our SVP, Marketing and working closely with our Director, Streaming US, you will be responsible for steering the prioritisation and pitching of our key releases (UK and International) to the UK DSP’s.

You will utilise your extensive network of contacts to build closer relationships between our streaming partners, working to deliver the best possible editorial placements, long-tail streaming performance, DSP-related content plans and unique and innovative marketing and promotional opportunities with the platforms.

The successful candidate will have exceptional relationship management skills, be proactive, results orientated, a strategic thinker with an analytical mind, be able to handle a high volume of work in a fast-paced, quickly changing environment and serve as an advocate for Chrysalis Records artists and label partners.


Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for ensuring all our key UK DSP releases are pitched on time (via our Digital Distro and Ops Teams) – advising and guiding our artist and label teams on the ideal release strategy to maximise the campaign goals.
  • Working with the Marketing team and artist management to devise and plan DSP-focused campaign assets, content, and marketing strategies.
  • You will be the key point of liaison in the UK Team for coordinating any ‘new artist’, ‘ones to watch’, ‘anniversary’ type DSP campaign pitches for our frontline and catalogue roster.
  • You will work closely in tandem with our Digital Distributor teams to identify and pitch for any on-platform support programmes relevant to the key releases across our frontline and catalogue roster.
  • You will closely monitor all our key releases post-release and liaise with the UK Marketing/ Digital Distribution teams on re-pitching releases showing positive signs of growth, working to devise long-tail strategies for those tracks to grow them through specialist editorial support through to the relevant playlisting opportunities on the platforms.
  • You will analyse track performance, identify streaming spikes, and key data points for our key releases, translating these data points into pitch points.
  • Monitor & communicate chart performance, audience growth, follower growth and playlist performance to demonstrate our artists success and contextualize their streaming stories.
  • Liaising with the Frontline and Catalogue Marketing / Creative teams, you will brief and deliver stylish, credible, culturally appropriate, and engaging assets for all aspects of your work within this role, from ones-to-watch pitches to DSP-targeted marketing assets.
  • You will continue to foster your already-strong network of relevant contacts at UK (and international) DSPs.

Personal Specification
  • You will have a very strong, proven, current and well-established network of UK DSP contacts and have a broad and wide-ranging taste and knowledge of the contemporary music landscape.
  • You will have a proven track record working within either a record label, artist & label services, or digital streaming platform environment where your role will have involved communicating directly with DSPs on a regular basis.
  • You will be fluent in your use of relevant data platforms such as Spotify for Artists, Apple Music for Artists, Chart Metric, etc
  • You will confidently develop and maintain relationships and regularly communicate with your network in a personal and engaging way, in an appropriate style and tone of voice for the artists on our roster.
  • You are very organised with the ability to plan & deliver to tight, quickly changing deadlines.

You have the ability to
  • take large amounts of information & extract the key parts to build concise, impactful pitches.
  • interpret analytical data & use to build strong editorial support cases.
  • develop strong relationships, communicate, and influence others in a positive way.
  • adapt to change in a positive manner.
  • remain calm under pressure, handling large amounts of communication at different levels in a positive manner.
  • you have excellent IT skills; must be proficient in Google Docs, Google Slides, PowerPoint or Keynote, Word & Excel

NB This role will involve attending shows and events in the evenings and on weekends and may involve international travel.

This role is office based
Office Location: Shoreditch / Old Street area
Hours: 10am-6pm (Mon-Thurs) 10-5pm (Friday)
