Manager, Copyright Administration (AV)

Nashville, Tennessee

Your mission is to serve as the AV process lead of the US Copyright Administration team. You will oversee the processing of cue sheets and song metadata in BMG’s internal system and global PROs. You will serve as a key contact for all of our AV clients and provide the highest level of service.

You will collaborate with international colleagues from various departments to ensure our global strategy. You are a self-starter with a proactive approach towards tasks, creating solutions and effectively solving problems.


What You’ll Be Doing.
  • Gathering, processing, & routing incoming cue sheets, ensuring accuracy end-to-end.
  • Maintaining relationships with AV clients via regular calls and communications.
  • Overseeing cue sheet circulation.
  • Working with the team to resolve suspense and deferred AV income.
  • Assisting with the creation and review of enhanced reporting for external clients.
  • Reviewing, locating & obtaining missing cue sheets as requested by various parties, both internal and external.
  • Performing weekly quality checks of new songs entered into BMG applications to validate accuracy of data.
  • Reviewing, researching & providing timely responses to queries and information requests, including: label copies, claim confirmations, and others.
  • Creating & maintaining Client Fact Sheets for all active deals.
  • Facilitating all non-CWR workflows registrations as necessitated.
  • Requesting, tracking, & circulating composer agreements internally so that they can be set-up in BMG’s systems.
  • Testing software, including new versions of BMG applications, and documenting results.
  • Completing various ad-hoc projects and reports as required.

Must Haves.
  • You have experience in music publishing and copyright administration, ideally with a background in AV.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Excel.
  • You have a strong analytical aptitude and are confident working with large sets of data and spreadsheets.
  • You are able to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways and make well-reasoned decisions.
  • You are collaborative and able to be flexible, embrace change and welcome new ideas.
  • You have exceptional attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
  • You are able to track, prioritize, and complete multiple concurrent projects, even under pressure or tight deadlines.

Nice To Haves:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, preferably Music Business.
  • Mastery of various cue sheet tools, formats, and public music databases.
  • Strong knowledge of music clearance, licensing process, and commissioning music.

Pay Range:

$54,500-$59,500 per annum

The pay range listed above is dependent upon factors such as work experience, qualifications and business needs. In addition to the range above, this role is eligible for a discretionary annual bonus and applicable benefits.
