Director- Royalty Income

Location: London

At BMG, we are seeking a talented Director of Royalty Income to lead our efforts in collecting royalties across various business functions, including Recorded Music Rights, Neighbouring Rights, and Publishing. If you are a fast-paced adapter with a high sense of ownership and strong communication skills, we invite you to join the world’s fastest-growing music company.


What You’ll Be Doing
  • Supporting the Senior Director while managing a team of two talented professionals.
  • Managing approximately 40+ societies for Neighbouring Rights and 200 various senders for Recorded Music Rights, processing an average of 100 monthly receipts.
  • Tracking, chasing, monitoring, analyzing, and accurately processing cash receipts while addressing any payment issues.
  • Spearheading the development of tools to automate and scale processes.
  • Collaborating with Income Tracking, Neighbouring Rights, Supply Chain, Finance, and the Processing Team to ensure accurate data.
  • Raising invoices from external sources quickly and accurately as required.
  • Addressing ad hoc queries as they arise.

Who You Are
  • Experienced leader with the ability to support and develop a team.
  • Strong understanding of Recorded and/or Neighbouring Rights.
  • Familiarity with Royalty Statements and the overall Royalty Functions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Previous experience in the music industry, particularly in royalty-related roles.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
  • Strong analytical and reporting abilities.
  • Passionate about music and the industry.

It’s also a plus if you have proficiency in an additional language to English.
