Summary

Artist management firm seeking a dynamic candidate well-versed in the music industry to assist in the day-to-day management of three artists. Interface with industry shareholders – record label staff, publicists, agents, merchandisers and other third-party consultants.

Assist with internal communication and workflow between manager and cross-functional marketing team, which provides in-house services such as A&R administration, physical/digital distribution, event management (experiential and activation), content (creation, production and programming), graphic design, social media, direct to consumer campaigns, e-commerce, merchandising, business development (licensing, promotional & sponsorship), tour logistics, tour marketing and VIP ticketing.


WHAT THIS PERSON WILL DO
  • Administrative support – phones, calendars, scheduling…
  • Work in tandem with manager to set goals for our artists/projects, and building out timelines, content and activations meant to achieve those goals.
  • Collaborate with tour manager to arrange itineraries and oversee booking of artist’s global travel – air, hotel, ground transportation, reservations, meetings and any special needs
  • Coordination of artist press and promotion schedule\Contract administration and advancing live dates with tour managers
  • Compile stats, research and develop assets for artist presentation materials
  • Disseminate press, radio and sales reports, digital analytics and consumption data (DSPs)
  • Planning, scheduling and tracking deliverables during album and tour cycles via internal project management software (Asana/Monday) and artist database (Artist Growth)
  • Review and file invoices, update budgets/spreadsheets, and handle payment tracking
  • Liaise with tour marketing on tour planning, asset development, announce/on-sale rollout, promotional partners, merchandise suppliers and VIP
  • Collaborate with the Head of Marketing on cross-platform digital strategies with social & music partners like TikTok, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube, Apple & Spotify to create campaigns driving awareness and streams
  • Create and execute online lifestyle and trend marketing campaigns which raises the artist’s brand profile, aggregates fans and activates fans to promote artists, consume music and drive direct-to-fan e-commerce initiatives
  • Business Development – expand existing partner network by building new relationships with key online partners, media platforms, startups and other affiliates in industry
  • Assist with special projects, errands and live events as needed

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
  • 2-4 years of artist management experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Superior attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Demonstrate the ability to think creatively, three-dimensionally and to tie different pieces if a project together when needed
  • Tech savvy command of business software (Microsoft Office suite & Adobe) and cloud-based software (Google Docs/Drive, Dropbox, Box, Zoom…)
  • Exceptional grasp of budgeting and use of Excel & Google Sheets software- experience working in a finance or accounting role a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, interpersonal skills and phone/email demeanor
  • Assist in brainstorming and implementing exciting new marketing content (exclusive audio and video content, contests) optimized for each distribution network/channel
  • Ability to independently carry-out multiple tasks from start-to-finish with the aptitude to anticipate and prioritize
  • Proven time management skills that meet tight deadlines and can manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Great attitude, calm and collective in a fast-paced environment; helpful, friendly and diplomatic
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion in handling confidential data and dealing with high-level artists and industry executives
  • COVID-19 vaccination will be required for this position subject to legally valid exemptions
