Senior Director of Marketing

Babygrande Records, one of the nation’s premiere independent record labels for over 20 years, is seeking a Senior Marketing Director to join its team and work with the business in order to conceptualize, plan and execute marketing plans for the company’s roster of artists and producers.

In this role, you will serve as an integral team member to spearhead marketing efforts that promote cohesion and amplification across various outlets including social media, press, grassroots, and digital advertising. You will recognize fundamental marketing approaches across musical genres, while exploring unique and innovative marketing activations based on individual artists and their style.

This role is remote and open to candidates who can work in Eastern Time.

In this role, you will
  • Conceptualize, design, plan and execute full-scale marketing campaigns for releases from Babygrande’s roster of artists and producers.
  • Develop social media campaigns to raise awareness and excitement for our releases.
  • Work with other members of the company to facilitate the execution of marketing campaigns (i.e., providing design direction for marketing material).
  • Develop unique and innovative marketing strategies that are tailored to each individual artist with knowledge of marketplace and available resources.
  • Lead content creation from producing official videos to developing digital assets for use across social networks and streaming platforms
  • Work closely with the artist and team to help develop and maintain a consistent image and branding for each artist and release.
  • Utilize industry contacts and past resources to present marketing opportunities and strategic alliances to promote our artists and releases
  • Research and analyze industry-specific metrics and utilize them to inform our strategic decisions.
  • Manage project budgets, and successfully execute plans while working within budgets.
  • Coordinate artist’s activities around releases and tour dates to increase exposure and raise artist profiles.

About you
  • 5+ years of marketing experience with a major label.
  • Track record for developing and executing end-to-end marketing strategies and marketing concepts within the music industry.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while remaining meticulous and detail-oriented.
  • Knowledge and passion for hip-hop and electronic music.
  • Knowledge of current music industry landscape and social media.
  • Prior experience executing digital ad campaigns in cohesion with marketing strategies
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and goal setting skills
  • Ability to work independently to achieve goals and executive marketing strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher education.
