We are a fast-growing startup within the creator and music space with seven-figure ARR. Our web3 efforts are currently in stealth (therefore we remain anonymous). We are a fully distributed, global, and diverse team with a bold vision: Democratize music and disrupt the current paradigm. By tokenizing the ownership of music, we aim to better align incentives between creators, fans, and the larger community.
We are looking for an ambitious blockchain expert to lead our web3 efforts (DAO, token, NFTs). This role will require experience as a founder (or team leader) in the blockchain space with experience in tokenomics, fundraising, and compliance.
This is a unique opportunity to join a super-focused and mission-driven team, still at an early stage and to build its web3 strategy from the ground up and in direct partnership with our founder and CEO.
About The Role
- Work with our leadership team to make the leap into web3
- Build, lead and manage a world-class blockchain team
- Design and implement robust tokenomics that align the incentives of our platforms’ users and music creators.
- Develop a fundraising strategy (via token issuance, blockchain grants, DAOs and/or VC)
- Systemize and de-risk token operations
- Advise/ lead community management
Fully remote position, but you need to be based within these timezones:
Eastern time US (NY/ Miami) GMT -5 to GMT +2 (European Eastern time)
- You have an existing presence and passion for the blockchain space
- A deep understanding of blockchain communities
- Knowledge and understanding of the regulation and compliance landscape
- Experience in a leadership role within web3 either as a team leader or founder
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- A background in finance/ economics is preferred or alternatively Engineering/ CS
- Advanced financial modeling
- A passion for music and changing the existing music landscape
- Experience launching a token and gaining exchange listings
The role will be paid in your choice of FIAT or Crypto ($75 to $150K/ year, depending on experience) with a very generous share of company equity and tokens (4% minimum to -/+8%).
The role can start as a contract and transition into full-time. The right candidate will assume the role of co-founder of the web3/ DAO extension of the company.
