Marketing Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic individual to join the London office of a prominent international independent dance label, in the role of marketing manager.
The successful candidate will report to the Head of Marketing and will be part of an international team.

Key Duties:
- Develop, plan, implement and execute digital and social marketing plans for artist releases and campaigns assigned in accordance with release deadlines
- Create and co-ordinate marketing materials, tools and information required and ensure distribution to relevant teams internally
- Manage social media content to facilitate user engagement
- Devise effective and innovative digital campaigns, integrating all elements of digital activity into each campaign, including engagement with relevant DSP label, curator and programming teams
- Oversee and manage content creation for the labels’ social media accounts and other online activities
- Monitor artist and brand engagement with fan communities and users to help plan and influence marketing strategy
- Responsibility of individual artist budgets in line with agreed spends
- Where necessary, working closely with A&R/Digital/Press/Promotion/Sales etc to deliver connected and cutting-edge strategies across the business
- Develop strong relationships with artists and artist management, including assistance with artist pitches
- Assisting with the coordination of each artist’s activities around a release including press, promo and PR
- Working with and briefing the creative department on the delivery and completion of audio-visual assets, artwork, designs and photos
- Ability to analyse release data and metrics to help formulate appropriate campaigns and devise priorities and inform wider strategy
- Plan and implement multi-platform advertising campaigns
- Collaborating and communicating with company personnel in other territories to ensure coordination and execution of marketing plans and local market priorities
- Develop and initiate innovative ideas for merchandising opportunities
- Contribute to overall strategy
Key Skills/Experience:
- Ideally previous record label experience in a similar role
- Clear understanding of streaming strategy and social marketing
- Motivated and ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Team player
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Ability to innovate and be solutions focused
- Experience of breaking new UK acts and international-selling acts and the versatility to work with acts of various sizes and budgets
- Experience of effectively managing budgets to minimise financial spend and maximise profits
- Experience managing the creation of videos and additional content, including briefing creative agencies
- Experience in instigating and managing photo shoots, including managing budgets, briefs and contracts
- Good Understanding of social media platforms, DSPs and new music platforms and best approach to enhance and maximise opportunities. Knowledge of the NFT marketplace and experience in NFT content creation and delivery a bonus
- Ability to use and understand industry and consumer facing data analytics to inform decisions
- Knowledge of current music and industry trends
- Proficient across Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Doc and Sheets
- Preferably proficient with design applications and software such as Adobe Suite
