We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Manager based in New York, to provide market insights and evaluation, supporting the development and execution of AMRA’s business strategy, that focuses on prioritizing growth and positive client retention.

In this role, your main priority will be to develop business cases to evaluate opportunities within the marketplace, maintain positive relationships with clients to ensure long-term partnerships and satisfaction as well as develop and maintain AMRA’s marketing and key messaging to the industry and to our clients.

WHAT DOES A SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER AT AMRA DO?

Research & Analysis:

  • You lead market assessment sizing through quantitative analysis and qualitative feedback as well as the development of the go-to-market strategy.
  • You conduct high-level music industry research to understand market dynamics, trends, product offerings and technology developments in the market.
  • You work closely with key stakeholders to provide updates on business development progress and challenges translating strategic business goals into work plans and procedures.

Marketing:

  • You are responsible for communicating the story and vision of AMRA across all segments and relevant channels, ensuring we are positioned and explained appropriately to the right audience across the industry.

Business Development, Stakeholder Management & Client Partnerships

  • You promote AMRA’s services to prospective clients, demonstrating a deep understanding of their requirements and how our solutions can address them.
  • You maintain strong client relationships, responding to inquiries about our service as well as build relationships with internal teams and C-suite management ensuring ongoing support and knowledge development of all stakeholder groups.

WHAT SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
  • The ideal candidate will have experience working in a content, marketing or product marketing role with significant B2B experience managing strategic accounts, ideally within the music or entertainment industry.
  • You may have 7-10 years of experience in business development, strategic advisory in sales, or product marketing strategy within a service-driven environment with deep understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.
  • Communication: You tell compelling stories tailored to the audience, communicating effectively with clients, prospects and stakeholders from across the industry.
  • Strategic: You have an ability to identify customer needs, build solid business cases for the work you are doing and can prioritize and project manage your workload effectively.
  • Data fluency: You have an analytical mindset, with the ability to identify trends highly attuned to market changes and obstacles.

The range provided is for NYC-based hires only and will be commensurate with candidate experience. Pay ranges for candidates in other locations other than NYC may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
Pay range: $130,000$162,000 USD
