Amazon Music – Senior Music Content Curation Manager (JP)

Amazon Music seeks a passionate, self-motivated, and talented music curator to be a part of that history of innovation by helping take streaming playlists and stations for Amazon Music to the next level – based in Tokyo, Japan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply extensive music knowledge to create hand-curated experiences specifically for Amazon Music’s unique audience
  • Use a deep understanding of various music genres, sub-genres, and micro-genres to inform algorithmic programming
  • Use a combination of good judgment and data to identify and execute on opportunities to create new playlists and stations
  • Enact a plan to improve existing programmed content through regular updates
  • Establish goals for increased engagement and, working with your manager, generate a plan to achieve those goals
Basic qualifications
  • BS/BA required
  • Passion for music
  • 7 to 10 years in work experience in music programming, music supervision, editorial, or A&R
  • Demonstrated success in delivering results in a fast-paced, rapid-growth environment
