AmazeVR – Business Development Manager (US)

AmazeVR is a VR concert platform company that brings artists closer to fans anywhere at any time through proprietary immersive technologies. Through our full-service solution, fans come face-to-face with their favorite artists in a virtual experience through integrating the artist’s performance in 8K+ stereoscopic live-action videos into surreal environments that transcend reality. Our vertically integrated distribution model optimizes for quality and reach — offline, through global movie theaters and VR LBEs; and online, through the Amaze app across most major VR headsets and other opportunities.

Founded by the co-founder and early executives of Kakao, a $32B market cap mobile platform company, AmazeVR has offices in Los Angeles (HQ) and Seoul. In 2019, we closed a $9.5MM Series A round of fundraising with seasoned investors in the tech and media space. Since then, we’ve built our Unreal Engine-based technical foundation, began our collaboration with Megan Thee Stallion and Roc Nation and secured an additional $15MM to build the future of music.

Who you are
  • 5+ years experience in a marketing, sponsorships, or brand partnerships role in the entertainment industry
  • Passionate about music, entertainment and technology
  • Confidence in prospecting, securing leads and developing new relationships
  • Proven ability to provide flawless account management and client services
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in person, on video calls and in writing
  • Creative, with an ability to ideate original partnership solutions
  • Previous experience executing a partnership or sponsorship in a client facing role either in-house or for an agency
  • Experience preparing pitch decks and sales materials
  • Not afraid to hustle to find opportunities
  • Proactive and entrepreneurial – excited to get involved in a growing company and collaborate with team members
  • Organized and detail oriented
  • Willing to travel when necessary
Preferred
  • Experience selling to brands and agencies in the entertainment and/or music industry
  • An existing network of contacts in the marketing, brand, agency and music industry
  • Understanding of the brand and agency marketing landscape
  • Some design experience – you prepare great looking decks
  • You may or may not have VR experience – come with an open mind and we’ll teach you
Responsibilities
  • Proactively seek, negotiate and deliver new brand partnership opportunities
  • Cultivate existing relationships and secure leads with brands and marketing agencies
  • Ideate innovative solutions and bring ideas to life through written presentations
  • Develop proposals that align to both internal KPIs and client objectives
  • Provide account management and client relations support to new and existing partners
  • Track and manage projects with accurate timelines and report to all stakeholders
  • Support the business development team on all aspects of partnership marketing and sponsorships
  • Work closely with internal development and product teams to evaluate the feasibility of creative ideas
  • Ensure the flawless execution of partnerships in conjunction with internal and external stakeholders
  • Manage budgets and track KPIs
