88rising has quickly become one of the most exciting music brands in the world across recorded music, content production, live events and product.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Secure new songs for existing talent on the label
  • Pitch songs from existing writers on publishing roster for external artists
  • Oversee and organise regular writing camps
  • Identify and pitch available developing and established artists, writers and producers
  • Provide A&R direction and support on assigned projects
  • Manage the administrative and deal making process for prospective clients
  • Work closely with Business Affairs and A&R to formulate deal proposals
  • Support and enhance signed artist, writer or producers’ creative vision
  • Attend shows and showcases of both signed and unsigned artists on a regular basis
  • Handle confidential matters appropriately and with discretion
  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry folk
  • Work closely with other label departments/employees including Marketing, Digital, Publicity, Promotion and Commerce
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
  • Minimum three years music industry experience, with a demonstrated track record of finding new songs for existing talent that fit in with companies musical offerings/musical direction
  • Ability to build strong relationships with artists, managers, producers, sound engineers, recording studios, etc
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills and time management skills; ability to influence and negotiate
  • A proactive self-starter with strong problem solving and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal, excellent organisation skills and high attention to detail
  • Ability to travel and attend showcases as required
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fast paced work environment while juggling multiple tasks and priorities
  • Must understand the artist lifestyle
  • Deep interest and knowledge in the pop and k-pop space preferred
  • Full-time employment, LA base preferred or willing to move to Los Angeles
