Jen Ashworth promoted to Senior Vice President, Commercial Marketing and Streaming at Capitol Music Group

Jen Ashworth has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President of Commercial Marketing & Streaming for Capitol Music Group (CMG).

The news was announced today by Mike Sherwood, CMG’s Executive Vice President of Global Commercial Marketing & Strategy, to whom Ashworth reports.

In her elevated position, Ashworth will draw upon her broad experience to oversee the company’s streaming strategies across its portfolio of labels and artist roster.

She will focus on editorial and partner activations with Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon, YouTube and Pandora.

Ashworth will continue to manage CMG’s relationship with Spotify as the company’s account lead.

The exec is based in Los Angeles within the company’s Capitol Tower.

Prior to her promotion, Ashworth was Vice President of Global Commercial Marketing for CMG, a position she held since 2018.

During her five years in that role, Ashworth has been integral to the launch and success of numerous artists and projects, including Ice Spice, Lewis Capaldi, Doechii, Niall Horan, Toosii, Sam Smith and FLETCHER.

Ashworth began her career in 2008 as a marketing assistant at Epic Records in New York.

She joined Capitol in 2013 as a Marketing Manager and was integral to the relaunch of Harvest Records. She moved to Los Angeles in 2016 in conjunction with her promotion to Marketing Director.
