Jayne Stynes appointed General Manager of UK’s MMF

The UKs Music Managers Forum (MMF) has appointed Jayne Stynes (pictured) as General Manager.

With six years experience at Eleven Management, Stynes has worked extensively on live and recorded campaigns for artists including Damon Albarn, Blur, Gorillaz, The Clash, Spoek Mathambo, Róisín Murphy and Kano.

Stynes’s personal career highlights include working on the Africa Express, Orchestra of Syrian Musicians tour, the Gorillaz-curated Demon Dayz Festival and Kano’s Made In The Manor campaign.

More recently, Stynes has completed one year of a PhD programme at the Centre for Cultural Policy and Research at the University of Glasgow, exploring the significance of gender-focused initiatives in the UK music industries and wider creative industries.

She will return to this research, on a part-time basis, in 2020.

While based in Glasgow, Stynes also volunteered with Girls Rock Glasgow and held a communications role with Parat+, an app designed for musicians and artists working with visual and audio, in particular those using 3D audio and ambisonics.
