Paris-headquarted Believe has signed a what it says is a “long-term” global publishing administration agreement with iconic songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Janet Jackson.
Under the deal, Jackson brings her entire catalog to Believe Music Publishing, the Group’s recently launched global publishing division.
Jackson is described by Believe as “one of the most influential entertainers of the modern era,” with over 180 million records sold worldwide.
She has won five Grammy Awards, two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award, alongside a nomination for an Academy Award and dozens of American Music Awards, MTV Video Music Awards and Billboard Music Awards.
In May 2025, she was honored with the American Music Awards’ Icon Award.
Believe’s VP of Publishing, Peter McCamley, said: “Janet Jackson is one of the most influential and important songwriters in music, with a unique creative vision.
“We’re thrilled to welcome her to the Believe Music Publishing family, and we are very much looking forward to working with her in the future.”
“Janet Jackson is truly a one-of-a-kind artist, with a strong vision for her music and where she wants to drive her career.”
Believe’s CEO of Publishing, Chris Meehan, added: “Janet Jackson is truly a one-of-a-kind artist, with a strong vision for her music and where she wants to drive her career.
“She brings an iconic and rich catalog to Believe Music Publishing and I couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.”
The signing marks a significant escalation of ambition for Believe Music Publishing, which grew out of Sentric’s technology-driven, indie-focused model.
The division, which officially launched in October 2025 following its acquisition of Sentric in 2023, now operates with 160 publishing experts across multiple markets, leveraging Believe’s global footprint spanning 47 countries.
In a recent MBW World Leaders interview, Meehan discussed the division’s global expansion plans, noting: “The reputation that Believe has in their markets just allows us to utilize the success of Believe’s journey to accelerate our position.”
The company’s global operation represents over 4 million songs and 400,000 songwriters across 200 territories.Music Business Worldwide
