Independent music company LVRN teams up with Audiomack to identify and develop emerging artists

Music streaming and discovery platform Audiomack and Atlanta-based record label and management company Love Renaissance (LVRN) have partnered to use the former’s ArtistRank system to identify emerging musicians.

Audiomack says that its proprietary ArtistRank tech uses engagement metrics over play growth in identifying artists. It provides insights into fan demographics and predictive data to gauge an artist’s potential growth trajectory.

Audiomack says it has already leveraged ArtistRank’s accuracy to identify and boost the visibility of rising global acts on its own platform, including Asake, 1Da Banton, and Byron Messia.

Together with LVRN, Audiomack will devise marketing strategies and promotions to support emerging talents.

“LVRN’s pulse on the culture and emphasis on the global music scene aligns perfectly with the foundational pillars of Audiomack,” said Ryan Philip, Manager, Music & Data Partnerships at Audiomack.

“Powered by ArtistRank, this partnership will shed light on artists worldwide building loyal, dedicated fanbases.”

Tunde Balogun, LVRN co-founder and President, added: “We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Audiomack.”

“Last year, LVRN set out to discover and nurture talent from all over the world. We’ve been fortunate to manage successful campaigns with global acts like Davido and SPINALL, so we knew there was more we could do to achieve our goal on the label side. This partnership is a significant step forward for LVRN, and we can’t wait to see what kind of talent we’ll uncover together,” Balogun said.

The latest partnership builds on the two companies’ collaboration in May, where LVRN’s co-founder, Justice Baiden, participated in the STAMPED contest and playlist series on Audiomack, featuring promising artists paired with top music executives.

“Our focus and intention on being a global company continue with this partnership with Audiomack. In a crowded music landscape, the ArtistRank tool will help us to spread our wings and allows us to get behind quality artists sooner and support them in whatever capacity they need,” Baiden said.

Since its founding in 2012, Audiomack has reached over 25 million monthly users worldwide. The company says its platform has been instrumental in propelling new artists such as Young Boy Never Broke Again and Ice Spice to fame. It has also served as a partner for exclusive releases from artists like Eminem and Nicki Minaj.

In late 2020, Audiomack partnered with Warner Music on a new licensing deal for key African territories including Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa and Tanzania. A year later, Warner Music was the first major label to join Audiomack’s direct monetization feature called ‘Supporters.’

Universal Music also inked a licensing deal with Audiomack last year.

This week, Audiomack added a new ‘Connect Tab’ tool for artists to talk directly with fans via its Creator App.

Meanwhile, LVRN Atlanta-based record label and management company co-founded by Justice Baiden, Junia Abaidoo, Carlon Ramong, Tunde Balogun, and Sean “Famoso” McNichol. The label is home to genre-bending R&B sensations like 6LACK and Summer Walker.

LVRN is backed by Matt Pincus-led MUSIC. Bloomberg reported in January that LVRN raised ”more than $25 million” from Pincus.
