Ian Holder leaves BMI after 10 years to join Sony/ATV as VP, Creative

Sony/ATV Music Publishing has appointed Ian Holder as Vice President, Creative.

In his new role he will be based in New York and report to Sony/ATV SVP, Head of East Coast A&R Rich Christina.

Holder previously spent 10 years at U.S. performing rights organization BMI where he was Director of Writer/Publisher Relations. His signings at the PRO included Frank Ocean, Post Malone, Desiigner, Rae Sremmurd, Kiiara, MadeinTYO, Pusha-T, Action Bronson, Sage The Gemini, Plies, Tyga, Prodigy of Mobb Deep and Grammy-winning production team The J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League (Rick Ross, Drake, Nas, 2 Chainz).

Prior to BMI, Holder worked in Columbia Records’ A&R Department.

He is the founder of the Artistic Reality Thru Search (A.R.T.S.) Music Business Program for high school teenagers. The program was piloted through the Facing History High School in Manhattan in 2011.
