FUGA hires ex-Discovery Networks and eBay execs

Digital music distribution and services company FUGA have hired René Andreasi-Bassi as Head of Digital Marketing & Promotions and Michael Cassidy as Head of Operations in preparation for future expansion.

A specialist in brand positioning and content promotion across digital platforms, Andreasi-Bassi will lead the FUGA Digital Marketing & Promotions team, tasked with supporting FUGA’s aggregation clients’ retail marketing efforts and broadening relationships with DSPs. He will also oversee plans to grow FUGA’s international marketing capabilities.

Andreasi-Bassi has over a decade of experience in promotions and creative marketing having spent time at Discovery Networks, where he built an award-winning creative team, as well as NBCUniversal and Liberty Global.

More recently, he has worked on marketing campaigns for the likes of The Walt Disney Company, as owner of Dutch creative agency Promoloog. He will report to Christiaan Kröner, FUGA’s Director of Aggregation and Services.

Cassidy joins from Liberty Global where he was Software Development Manager. He will oversee the ongoing operational advancement of FUGA’s platform and client support services.

He has held management roles at eBay and QBE Europe, and founded music start-up I Think Music. Cassidy will report to FUGA’s CEO, Pieter van Rijn.
