Fourth CTO Christian Berthelsen joins Voly Group as Non-Executive Director

Voly Group, the parent company of UK-headquartered Voly Music, has appointed Christian Berthelsen, CTO and part of the founding team of Fourth, as a Non-Executive Director.

According to Voly, Berthelsen has an “impressive track record of growth” in SaaS companies, having taken Fourth from an SME in 2003 to a prominent hospitality software company with over 1,000 employees.

Described by Voly as a “software innovator” and businessman, Berthelsen developed web applications and inventory control solutions at FnBshop.com, a private SaaS company he co-founded and sold to Fourth in 2003.

With over 25 years of software engineering and management experience, Berthelsen oversees product roadmap, development, and infrastructure of all software.

Voly Group’s subsidiary Voly Music launched into the music industry in 2021, offering its clients a specialist financial management platform, with integrated Prepaid Mastercard and FX Payment features.

The company works with artist management companies, live music promoters, tour managers, business managers among other stakeholders, and sectors of the industry.

Voly says that the financial management platform has been “well received” by the music industry, “with many global artists and their business managers using the platform to track their tour expenditure.  Along with promoters using Voly to automate their nightly reconciliations.

Voly also says that Voly Music’s “growth drive” in the US market is at the “forefront” of its plans, as is the automated integrations into other finance proprietary system which will allow data from Voly Music to be fed into the likes of Xero and QuickBooks for example.

In addition to Voly Music, Voly Group is also the parent company of financial management software and card payment provider Voly Yachting, which has seen success in the yachting sector since its launch in 2016.

Recently, Voly Group acquired Pinpoint works, another software company that provides interactive worklist management solutions in the marine and hospitality sector.

In October 2022, Voly Group hired Henry Featherstone as its first Head Of Treasury Sales.
