Former Nielsen exec Anne-Taylor ‘AT’ Adams joins Downtown as SVP, Global Communications

Downtown Music Holdings, the parent company of Downtown Music Publishing, Songtrust and AVL Digital Group, has appointed Anne-Taylor “AT” Adams (pictured) as Senior Vice President of Global Communications.

Based in New York and reporting to CEO Justin Kalifowitz, Adams will oversee the global communications strategy for Downtown Music Holdings and its portfolio companies.

Adams brings nearly 20 years of experience to the position. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Corporate Communications for Nielsen, the global measurement and data analytics company, where she oversaw global media relations, executive communications, crisis management, industry relations, and corporate events across 106 countries.

Her tenure with Nielsen also included assignments based in Latin America and Sub-Sahara Africa.

Previously, Adams led corporate communications for AppNexus, the cloud-based advertising technology company acquired by AT&T, and was part of the strategic communications team behind the successful SiriusXM Radio merger.


Additionally, Downtown recently hired David Dormon  (pictured inset) as Legal Counsel and Director of Acquisitions, reporting directly to Downtown’s General Counsel Peter Rosenthal.

In this role, Dormon works closely with executive management, business development, finance and other relevant teams across Downtown’s various business holdings on the strategy, execution and integration of acquisitions of music assets and companies, in addition to providing legal counsel on various corporate matters.

Prior to joining Downtown, Dormon was an associate with the international law firm Vedder Price, as well as Katten Muchin Rosenman.

Earlier this month, Downtown completed the acquisition of AVL Digital Group and its portfolio of music distribution, rights management and artist services businesses, including AdRev, CD Baby, DashGo and Soundrop.
