France-born music streaming service Deezer has launched dark mode for Android users.
The new update follows Deezer’s recent rebrand, which according to the company “highlights the brand’s human and local identity”.
Deezer currently has 14 million monthly active users and is available in over 180 countries.
Deezer’s dark mode is rolling out to Android users today (July 24), and will be available to all Android users in the next few days.
Free and Premium users can access Dark Mode on their Android devices and on the Deezer website by simply heading to Settings, Display and selecting Dark Mode.
Deezer’s Dark Mode on iOS and the Deezer desktop app will be available in the coming weeks.
“Dark mode is not only one of the most requested features from our users, but it’s also one that we are personally excited about.”
Stefan Tweraser, Deezer
Stefan Tweraser, Chief Product and Growth Officer at Deezer, said: “Dark mode is not only one of the most requested features from our users, but it’s also one that we are personally excited about.
“While we love our new rebranded app, we also understand that in some situations, it would benefit users to switch between light and dark.
“So, whether you want to prevent eye strain or it’s just your preferred style, Deezer’s dark mode is for those who dare to venture to the dark side.”Music Business Worldwide
