Folk rock pioneer David Crosby signs with SESAC

Folk rock pioneer David Crosby has signed with SESAC to represent his US performing rights.

MBW understands that he has now left his deal with BMI.

The Grammy-winning songwriter and recording artist was a founding member of The Byrds in the mid-60s as well as Crosby, Stills & Nash, and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.

Crosby has also collaborated with dozens of artists, including Joni Mitchell, James Taylor, Phil Collins, Elton John, Carole King and more.

The Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee and two-time Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee released his latest album, Here If You Listen in October 2018

His previous album, Sky Trails (BMG), was released in October 2018 and followed the 2016 Lighthouse, which was preceded by 2014’s Croz, Crosby’s first solo album in 20 years.

Most recently, Crosby’s new documentary David Crosby: Remember My Name premiered at the 2019 Sundance Film Festival.
