Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Lewis named EVP of A&R at Epic Records in Los Angeles

Epic Records has hired Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Lewis as executive VP, A&R.

Lewis leaves behind his role as SVP of A&R at Universal Music Group / Capitol Music Group‘s Motown label, where he spent six years.

In his new role, the exec will be based in Los Angeles and reports to Epic President Sylvia Rhone.

Lewis added that: “Sylvia Rhone and [Sony Music CEO] Rob Stringer are world-class executives and I want to thank them for this amazing opportunity.”

At Motown, Lewis worked with artists such as Migos, Lil Yachty, T.I., Rich Homie Quan and producer Zaytoven as well as Ne-Yo and Erykah Badu.

Lewis started in the business as a songwriter/producer, founding collective The Clutch who created hits for the likes of Britney Spears (Radar) and Timberland (The Way I Are).

He also co-wrote and co-produced Justin Bieber’s One Less Lonely Girl.

He’s nominated for a Grammy this weekend for his production work on Kevin Hart’s What Now? which is up for Best Comedy Album.Music Business Worldwide
