Ghazi, the founder and CEO of EMPIRE, has launched B2B SaaS company Supply Chain globally.
The company, whose international headquarters are in Amsterdam, announced on Wednesday (October 21) that it has struck a launch partnership with Beatport-owned music technology company Ampsuite.
Supply Chain has also hired Craig May as SVP, Marketing, and Kristy May as SVP, Business Affairs.
Supply Chain says it provides “the technology, distribution, operations, and commercial connectivity that enable independent music businesses to compete at global scale.” Its stated strategic ambition is “to build the infrastructure that independent music runs on.”
The platform, according to Supply Chain, gives independent music businesses “neutral, enterprise-grade infrastructure without requiring them to give up control of their catalog, data, client relationships or commercial choices.”
“I know what independent music can achieve when it has the right infrastructure. Too often, independents have had to rely on inefficient systems.”

Its website says the platform delivers to more than 150 stores and DSPs in more than 200 countries.
“I know what independent music can achieve when it has the right infrastructure,” said Ghazi. “Too often, independents have had to rely on inefficient systems.
“Supply Chain changes that. Our software is built for independents and it’s designed to connect and serve the independent community.”
Ampsuite is among what Supply Chain calls “a variety of clients across the industry ecosystem.”
Beatport acquired Ampsuite in February 2022, with plans to build its technology into Beatport’s professional tools and services.
At the time of the deal, Ampsuite‘s software tools were used by independent labels, mostly in electronic music, for asset management, accounting, and promotion.
MBW reported at the time that Ampsuite’s existing management team would continue to offer a distribution service to other digital retailers.
“Ampsuite offers the most complete set of tools for the labels that power Beatport, but we are always looking to provide more and respond to evolution in the industry,” said Matt Gralen, CEO of Beatport.
“In Supply Chain, we have a partner that offers advanced features out of the box and the ability and ambition to build for the future of the business.”

Gralen, previously Beatport’s President and CFO, was named Robb McDaniels’ successor as CEO in April.
McDaniels, who had led Beatport as CEO since 2017, moved into an Executive Chairman role on July 1.
As SVP, Marketing, Craig May will lead Supply Chain’s international marketing strategy.
“Independent music businesses need infrastructure they can trust, but they also need the freedom to use it on their own terms,” said Craig May. “Our role is to give clients reliable, flexible infrastructure that fits the way they already operate, helps them scale, and gives them greater control over their business.”
“If our clients grow, we grow,” added Craig May.

Craig May, Supply Chain
Kristy May will oversee Supply Chain’s commercial agreements, partnerships, and legal affairs as SVP, Business Affairs.
“The best partnerships are built on trust, clarity and a genuine understanding of what each business is trying to achieve,” said Kristy May. “I’m excited to help build Supply Chain in a way that supports independent companies not just today, but as they grow and evolve over time.”
Ghazi first unveiled Supply Chain in March 2023 as a white-label platform, separate from EMPIRE, that lets other companies build distribution into their own products.
In November 2025, the platform powered the launch of EngineEars Direct, a distribution service built into the EngineEars platform founded by audio engineer Derek “MixedByAli” Ali.
EngineEars counts Ghazi among its investors.
In April, Supply Chain partnered with music tech startup Nebula on what Nebula calls an “earn-before-you-stream” distribution service.
Fans using Nebula‘s marketplace can buy a stake in a track before its release, then receive a share of its royalty payouts once it is streaming.
Supply Chain‘s Amsterdam base puts it on the home turf of FUGA, the B2B music distributor founded in the city in 2006 and now part of Universal Music Group‘s Virgin Music Group.
Virgin’s USD $775 million acquisition of FUGA’s parent company, Downtown Music Holdings, completed in February.
EMPIRE, which Ghazi founded in San Francisco in 2010, has worked with artists including Kendrick Lamar, Anderson .Paak, XXXTentacion, and Cardi B.Music Business Worldwide
