Edith Bo named Head of A&R at Rostrum Records

Los Angeles-based Rostrum Records has appointed Edith Bo as Head of A&R.

In this role, Bo will be responsible for setting and overseeing the overall direction of A&R strategy, including scouting and signing new artists.

Additionally, she will be responsible for developing strategic branding partnerships and will be working closely with Rostrum’s marketing team to create and implement innovative solutions for artists.

Bo will report to Rostrum Records President, Erika Montes.

Bo joins Rostrum from SoundCloud where she spearheaded their first songwriter initiative called “Unsung Heroes,” as well as publishing and sync partnerships.

Prior to SoundCloud, Bo served in artist management and A&R at Roc Nation, where her clients included Big Sean, Mustard, Hit-Boy and Santigold.

Bo also has years of experience in artist management with Elitaste Music Management, where she worked with Wale and Capital Cities.

In 2017, she co-founded the artist management and music publishing company Arketek, where she signed and developed top industry songwriter 8AE.

This appointment comes off the heels of Rostrum Records announcing its 20th anniversary, and the launch of Rostrum Pacific, a parent company designed to accommodate Rostrum’s portfolio of entertainment properties.

The label’s founder and CEO, Benjy Grinberg, unveiled Rostrum Pacific as a strategic step to consolidate and support a range of premium entertainment properties.

Leading the new venture is Jonathan Partch, the longstanding General Manager of Rostrum Records, who assumes the role of Chief Operating Officer at Rostrum Pacific.

MBW understands that Rostrum Pacific is set to house an acquired company at Rostrum, with more details expected later this summer.

Rostrum Records was Founded in 2003 and is home to a roster of artists including DC The Don, Alé Araya, Lou Phelps, My Favorite Color, Brevin Kim, Fat Nick and more.

The label notably discovered superstar Wiz Khalifa, as well as Mac Miller, who under his deal with Rostrum, had the first independently released debut album to land at No.1 on Billboard’s Top 200 since 1995.
