Eagle Rock veteran Simon Hosken joins livestream firm PUSH LIVE as Chief Financial and Operating Officer

Live entertainment technology company PUSH LIVE has hired Simon Hosken as its Chief Financial and Operating Officer.

Hosken previously held the position of COO and CFO for 15 years at Universal Music Group‘s Eagle Rock Entertainment, a producer, publisher and distributor of music programming in live concerts and music documentaries.

Before joining Eagle Rock Entertainment, Hosken worked for video games developer and publisher Acclaim Entertainment, as well as BSkyB, MTV and Price Waterhouse.

Hosken joins PUSH LIVE after 12 months of “significant growth,” says the company.

PUSH LIVE powered over 600 live events during those months, including outdoor music and dance festival EDC Mexico 2020 and a free multi-act stream for the Inside Lands festival featuring Gorillaz, Anderson .Paak and more.

PUSH LIVE also delivered Twitch’s Glitchcon, the London Football Awards, video games showcases for EA and Xbox and PPV live streams hosting artists such as Architects and Alejandro Fernandez.

Hosken will be responsible for the future expansion of PUSH LIVE’s global business, the company says.

Leveraging his extensive experience in the music and gaming industries and a wealth of knowledge of both sectors, says PUSH LIVE, Hosken will “drive the organisation forward and help PUSH LIVE clients to maximise their economic potential from live events.”

In his 15 years as Eagle Rock CFO and COO Hosken led the company through “significant growth” and “major funding rounds”, and helped spearhead its sale to Universal Music Group in 2014.

He also oversaw its financial, commercial, business and rights teams and “digital transformation strategy”.

During that time, Hosken worked with some of the most successful acts in the world, from the Rolling Stones, Queen and The Who to Elton John and Madonna.

At Acclaim Entertainment, Hosken managed the publishing offices and studios outside North America, including Asia and Australasia, helping the organisation to become one of the largest games publishers in the world at the time.

“The pandemic has merely highlighted the power of live streaming, but we have only touched the surface.”

“PUSH LIVE is on the cusp of something amazing and I am thrilled to be joining at such a crucial time and to be part of the company’s development.”

“we are constantly improving and enhancing the platform to take the organisation to the next level.”
