Drake dominates Spotify’s biggest songs of the summer

His album was an Apple Music exclusive for two weeks, but that doesn’t appear to have hindered Drake’s popularity on Spotify.

One Dance, the biggest track to be released from Views, was the most-streamed song on Spotify during the summer – aka the three months from June 1st – August 31st.

To date, it’s notched up over 757 million listens.

Drake also claimed the sixth biggest Spotify track during this period with Too Good (feat Rihanna), which has clocked up 301.8m lifetime listens.

Yes, in other words Drake has registered more than a billion streams from his two biggest summer hits on Spotify to date.

Behind Drake at No.2 on Spotify’s Global Top 10 songs of the summer is This Is What You Came For by Calvin Harris feat. Rihanna. The track has just under 428.5m listens.

Following closely at third is Sia’s Cheap Thrills with 487.4m listens to date, then The Chainsmokers feat. Daya’s Don’t Let Me Down with 498m.

Rounding off the Top 5 is Justin Timberlake’s Can’t Stop The Feeling, which has earned 345.7m listens.

In the UK, Drake took the top two spots of the most-listened to songs of the summer, with One Dance and Too Good respectively.

Calvin Harris took the third spot with This Is What You Came For feat. Rihanna, while This Girl by Kungs & Cookin’ On 3 Burners was the fourth most listened to song of the summer.
