Downtown Music Publishing promotes Jedd Katrancha to EVP

New York-based Downtown Music Publishing has promoted of Jedd Katrancha to Executive Vice President.

Katrancha joined growing independent Downtown in 2007, and has led the firm’s well-regarded creative services and sync licensing business from its inception.

Katrancha and his team have developed brand partnerships for Downtown songwriters with the likes of Anheuser-Busch, Apple, Cadillac, Ford, Nike, Sprint, Verizon, Vitamin Water and more.

In his expanded role as Executive Vice President, Katrancha will now also be responsible for managing Downtown’s creative strategy and operations.

“I’ve had the good fortune of working with Jedd for the better part of the past 15 years where I watched him redefine the role of a modern music publisher,” said Downtown Music Publishing CEO Justin Kalifowitz.

Prior to joining Downtown, Katrancha worked in creative services with Spirit Music Group and in the copyright department at EMI Music Publishing.

He began his career as a music supervisor with the firm Supervision – the respected LA firm founded by Thomas Golubic.

Downtown Music Publishing now runs offices in New York, Nashville, Los Angeles, London, and Amsterdam.
