Downtown Music Publishing bolsters team with ten new hires

Downtown Music Publishing has expanded its team with ten new hires to support its growing catalogue.

The news comes soon after a shopping spree for the company that includes deals with Ryan Tedder, Nikki Sixx of Mötley Crüe, Benny Blanco and Naughty Boy and Nashville-based publishing house Big Yellow Dog.

“Publishers, including Downtown, have long focused much of their public relations efforts at highlighting new signings and catalog acquisitions. it’s really what happens after the acquisition that matters.”

Discussing the expansion, Downtown COO Andrew Bergman said: “Publishers, including Downtown, have long focused much of their public relations efforts at highlighting new signings and catalog acquisitions.

“It’s really what happens after the acquisition that matters and there is not enough attention paid to the people that make that difference.

“We’re committing to changing the conversation and encouraging all of our clients and songwriting partners to get to know the people who you entrust to manage your creative works.”

The first hire is Dan Bettes as Controller, who reports directly to CFO Alan Goodstadt.
