Deezer hires ex-BBC and Nothing Else Matters exec Nigel Harding as VP of Artist Marketing

Music streaming service Deezer has appointed Nigel Harding as its new VP of Artist Marketing.

Harding brings over 20 years of music industry experience and joins from Sony’s Nothing Else Matters Records, where he held the position of Co-Director.

Harding will lead Deezer’s Artist Marketing team to develop special campaigns and projects, including the annual Deezer NEXT program for emerging artists.

At Nothing Else Matters Records, he focused on label management and A&R for dance music.

Prior to this, his experience included artist promotion and national radio programming.

He also spent two years on playlisting strategy for Apple Music and over nine years at the BBC, where he supervised Radio 1’s mainstream music output and booked acts for Live Lounge and Big Weekend.
