David Hazan to head up Midem’s North American business

Reed Midem has appointed David Hazan to head up its North American business with immediate effect.

Hazan brings with him over 25 years of experience within the entertainment, experiential and media sectors.

He will be based in the Reed Midem offices in New York and he will report to Alexandre Deniot, Midem Director.

Hazan has recently provided strategic and consulting services to more than two dozen tech, festival and media clients around the world including, for the past six years, Canadian Music Week.

He has previously held a variety of senior positions in the industry including, Senior VP Marketing at Putumayo World Music and Universal Classics Group, EVP of Sales and Marketing at Wind up Entertainment.

He has also held senior executive positions at MTV Networks, Warner Music Group and The Orchard.

The Midem music industry conference will take place in Cannes, France, June 4-7.

Midem has recently announced that music licensing pioneer and a key player in the Chinese market, Mathew Daniel, will give a keynote at this year’s conference.

Dia Simms, President of Combs Enterprises, will be speaking exclusively at this year’s edition of Midem.
