Spotify‘s quarterly and annual SEC filings in the US contain statistics pertaining to the global breakdown of its premium subscribers and MAUs.
Below you can see two charts:
- The first depicts the percentage of Spotify MAUs in each region as of the end of calendar Q4;
- The second depicts the approximate number of MAUs in each region at the end of calendar Q4. This has been calculated by applying the percentage figure supplied by Spotify against the total number of MAUs at year-end. Please note: due to rounding (i.e. where Spotify might say a certain region has 11% global share of subs, but this number could represent a range of more granular figures from 10.6% to 11.4% etc.) these approximate numbers should be used as guide figures. However, please also note that Spotify supplies investors with an accurate figure (in millions) for its subscriber base in Europe each year, which has been replicated below.
