Online pre-cleared music house CueSongs has appointed Paul Sampson as SVP Global Business Development.
Sampson will begin the newly-created role with immediate effect, reporting directly into Christina Vaughan, CEO of CueSongs.
The exec (pictured) was formerly VP, Business Development, Europe at Music Dealers, where he developed the company’s advertising and television business as well as expanding their direct-to-brand operation following an investment from Coca Cola.
Prior to this, Samson spent five years at Extreme Music as Director of Sales and Marketing based out of Los Angeles.
At CueSongs, Sampson’s main aim will be to prove the business model for pre-cleared commercial music in online media – especially in the world of digital video.
Paul Sampson said, “I am very excited to join CueSongs. It is uniquely placed and equipped to capitalise on a burgeoning but largely untapped and un-catered for market with such enormous potential.
“The opportunity for CueSongs to become the market leader in providing quality, pre-cleared commercial music for the ever growing community of online content creators and aggregators is huge, and something that I am very much excited to be part of.”
