Concord Recorded Music hires Fred Gillham as Managing Director, UK

Concord Recorded Music has appointed Universal Music veteran Fred Gillham (pictured) for its new position of Managing Director, UK.

His hiring coincides with the opening of Concord Recorded Music’s London office.

Gillham joins Concord Recorded Music after a decade at Universal Music Group where, as VP of International, he oversaw worldwide campaigns for UMG labels such as Verve, Blue Note and UMG Nashville, and also UMG distributed labels including Concord Recorded Music, Big Machine Label Group and Disney Music Group.

Working with this wide-ranging set of labels has seen Gillham play a role in international marketing for releases by Paul McCartney, Lionel Richie, Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, Paul Simon, The Eagles, James Taylor, Elvis Costello, Madeleine Peyroux, Sabrina Carpenter, Carrie Underwood and Gregory Porter and for the movie soundtracks to Guardians of the Galaxy Vols 1 & 2, Mary Poppins Returnsand Aladdin.

While at UMG, he also worked closely with Concord, which has a global distribution partnership with UMG.

Reporting to Concord Recorded Music’s Co-SVPs, International, Rebecca Berman and Michael Nance, Gillham will lead Concord’s artist development and marketing strategies for its frontline and catalog labels in the UK which includes releases under Fantasy, Concord Records, Fearless Records, Loma Vista Recordings and Rounder Records.

Gillham will also contribute to the UK expansion of Concord Recorded Music’s historic catalog label Craft Recordings and the advancement of the KIDZ BOP brand in that territory.
