Six months on from announcing a joint venture that got the entire music industry talking, PULSE Music Group and its new partner Concord Music Publishing are celebrating an impressive run of hits.

Those hits include two back-to-back chart toppers on the Billboard Hot 100, with Savage Remix performed by Megan Thee Stallion feat Beyoncé (co-written by PULSE signing Starrah) and Rain On Me by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande (co-written and co-produced by PULSE signing BloodPop).

Other Hot 100 chart-toppers in 2020 to come from PULSE’s roster include Drake’s Toosie Slide and Travis Scott‘s Highest In The Room (both co-written and co-produced by OZ).

PULSE’s latest hit in the US comes with Trevor Daniel’s Falling, which has just hit No.1 at Top 40 radio.

As part of their major league deal in January, PULSE Music Group and Concord Music Publishing formed an exclusive A&R-driven joint venture, in which Concord made an investment in PULSE and administers both its catalog and new signings. Founded in 2007 by record producer Josh Abraham and songwriters Scott Cutler and Anne Preven, PULSE’s leadership team also includes Ashley Calhoun who was recently promoted to Senior Vice President/Head of Creative.

PULSE’s other recent highlights include Harry Styles’ 2x Platinum Adore You and Watermelon Sugar (both co-written by Tyler Johnson, who also co-produced the latter track); Future and Drake’s 5x Platinum Life Is Good (co-written and co-produced by OZ), Jon Pardi’s Platinum Heartache Medication (co-written by Barry Dean) and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s RIAA Gold-certified Loyal feat. Drake (co-written and co-produced by OG Parker).

Over the six months since PULSE and Concord announced their deal, PULSE’s writers have claimed no less than nine No.1 hits in total.

“Since this partnership was announced, Pulse has been fortunate to have five of the top 10 songs at Top 40 radio in consecutive weeks, along with landing three No.1 Billboard Hot 100 singles.”

“I also want to thank and recognize the outstanding team we have at PULSE who are crushing it on all fronts. Since this partnership was announced, PULSE has been fortunate to have five of the top 10 songs at Top 40 radio in consecutive weeks, along with landing three No.1 Billboard Hot 100 singles, more than 50 RIAA certifications, and four ASCAP awards.

“We look forward to many great achievements in the future and to making history together with our partners at Concord Music Publishing.”

Jake Wisely, Chief Publishing Executive at Concord, commented: “PULSE is absolutely crushing it. From No.1 hits to signing rising stars like Kehlani and Trevor Daniel, PULSE has proven in just six short months of working together that it is an unstoppable force.

PULSE signed a publishing deal with singer/songwriter Trevor Daniel in January this year. His single Falling (Alamo/Interscope) has reached the Top 10 in nine different countries, reaching Top 20 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and now landing at No.1 at US Pop radio. The song has amassed more than 750 million streams on Spotify alone.

Daniel recently released a new version of his track Past Life with Selena Gomez, which became the No.1 most-added song at US Top 40 radio for two consecutive weeks.

Elsewhere, PULSE producer and writer, OZ, is having an epic year. OZ has co-written and produced Drake’s latest singles including Toosie Slide which debuted at No.1 on the Hot 100 chart and set an all-time TikTok record with more than 1 billion views in 48 hours.

In May 2020, OZ topped all of Billboard’s Songwriter and Producer charts in one week, becoming the sixth producer ever to do so.

PULSE’s upcoming hits include Dua Lipa’s Hallucinate, co-written by SG Lewis, and Katy Perry’s Smile, co-written by Josh Abraham (co-founder and co-CEO of PULSE), plus Oligee and Starrah.

Since signing the deal with Concord, standout PULSE signings have included multi-platinum Grammy-nominee Kehlani, plus Trevor Daniel, Audrey Mika, and several other top writers and producers.

PULSE has this year also renewed its deal with multi-platinum songwriter Tyler Johnson, the hitmaker behind Harry Styles’ Adore You and Watermelon Sugar.

Kehlani’s new album It Was Good Until It Wasn’t reached No.2 on the Billboard 200 Chart and No.1 on the R&B Album charts, marking her highest debut to date.

Concord Music Publishing recently announced the signing of Nashville-based songwriter Hillary Lindsey, also buying her back catalog and forming an ongoing creative venture to foster new talent.

PULSE runs two recording studios in L.A’s Silver Lake district and four studios in Burbank.
